CANADA: Ministering in remote regions
Our gifts to Presbyterians Sharing support Cariboo Presbyterian Church, which serves 87,000 square kilometres of central British Columbia. Rev. David Webber’s passion for rural ministry led him to develop a house church model in this vast Cariboo region. Anne, a member of the house church in Punchaw, shares: “We always went to church, but when we came up here we were 90 km from town. Now we have our own church. It’s meant a lot to us.” Let us pray for the house churches in the Cariboo as they reach out to people in areas not served by conventional churches.

Did you know that much of the food for this work comes through the Kawartha Lakes Food Source, which was started ten years ago through the efforts of many citizens including three of our members?
Did you know that there are three baskets in our building into which contributions can be placed any day of the week and that it is all collected weekly by some of our members for delivery to the Central Food Cupboard?

Thank you to everyone who has helped with recycling the Records that they may have at home. Shopping and Gift Cards can be purchased at the church office during regular office hours and on Sunday mornings in the Main Hall during coffee social. We have a wide variety of gift cards available. We thank all of our members who use the cards and contribute in this manner. St. Andrew's financial goal is to retire our mortgage as soon as possible. Remember, when you exchange your cheque or cash for the cards, St. Andrew's earns nearly 6% on all of your purchases! May 12 - May 18: St. Andrew's Mortgage Fund received $171 from your purchases of $2,835!!
Using gift cards could not be easier. We buy them in bulk and get a 6% discount on most of the cards. You buy them, use them just like cash and automatically St. Andrew's earns 6% on every purchase. This keeps supporting our local businesses too. If it doesn't seem like much, look at the total that has been raised through this program. It does add up and will add up faster if you take part!
